Berta Velilla has been CEO and President of MVCDC since May 2019. Previously, she was with Child Focus in Cincinnati, OH, and has a rich history with Head Start.

Steven M. Kandel is our Chief Operating Officer. He came to us in July of 2022 after more than 23 years in public education as a teacher and administrator.

We support families experiencing poverty, providing early learning opportunities for children from 6 weeks to age 5. Our Family Support Specialists help parents and caregivers become financially stable and self-supporting.
